HomeQuestions to ask before connecting an AI coworker
Trust and control

Useful work needs clear boundaries.

An AI coworker may work with important business information. Before connecting it, understand the specific data, accounts, people, and actions involved. This page is an evaluation guide, not a certification or a contractual security statement.

Start with a concrete access review

Identify the data needed for your first workflow and who is allowed to see the result. Confirm available permissions, account ownership, and how access can be removed. Do not assume that a connected application grants approval to share every record it contains.

Put a person at consequential checkpoints

Review the exact recipient, content, and action before external communications or important changes. Use a reversible, non-sensitive task to test the approval behavior in your workspace. An example on a marketing page is not proof of an enforced control in a particular account.

Ask for evidence that matches your requirements

If your organization requires a data-processing agreement, retention commitments, subprocessors list, regional hosting, audit exports, SSO, or certification evidence, request the current materials from the team before rollout. No specific certification, residency option, or enterprise control is asserted here.

Keep the rollout bounded

Assign a workflow owner and a reviewer. Decide how to report errors, stop a recurring task, and check for unintended sharing. Use approved non-sensitive material until your organization has completed its own security and privacy review.
